The morning after the unforgettable night (Oct. 19), Tyrese took to X to recall how the moment came to be. He expressed that he was “still trying to come down off of the high of likely having one of the best nights of my life in R&B.”

Tyrese recounted how super-producer Johntá Austin called him a few days before Usher’s Atlanta show requesting his attendance, and then asked him to take the stage a day before the event. “I get a call from Johntá again who says do you remember any of the steps from the video and the song ‘MY WAY‘??????,” he explained. “I’m so confused because all I thought Johntá was offering me was concert tickets to see Usher kill it on stage lol Mr. Austin, why are you asking me about dancing and the song MY WAY???”

The 45-year-old heartthrob responded to the famed songwriter that he, unfortunately, didn’t remember the moves and admitted to instantly “feeling old.” He also gave Usher much praise for his longevity and relevancy in music and how he’s helped him in his career in the same breath.

Sharing a recap of his surprise performance, he added, “Fast-forward? This happened! Usher Raymond, sir I’m humble and grateful my heart is so full. Thank you for allowing little me to share in your ATL moment!”

Tyrese also joined Da Brat and Jermaine Dupri on stage for “What’Chu Like” as well as gave a live rendition of his beloved balled, “How You Gonna Act Like That.”
