Vended (Slipknot Sons) Announce Debut Album Ahead of First Headlining Tour
The post Vended (Slipknot Sons) Announce Debut Album Ahead of First Headlining Tour appeared first on Consequence.
Vended, the band featuring the sons of Slipknot’s Corey Taylor and Shawn “Clown” Crahan, have announced their debut album.
The self-titled LP arrives digitally and on CD/vinyl on September 20th and runs 13 tracks, including previously released singles “Am I the Only One,” “The Far Side,” and “Nihilism.” It was produced by Chris Collier (Korn).
“There’s a level of aggression and emotion that’s missing from music right now, and we aim to fill that void on this album,” declared frontman Griffin Taylor. “It represents everything that Vended are about. ‘Fuck your ignorance, just grab ahold of it.’ You’re either with us or against us.”
The album cover was also unveiled and bears similarities with Slipknot’s own self-titled album and proper debut with Corey Taylor on vocals. Both see the band members pictured up-close in their respective stage attire and costuming, with Vended sporting heavy face and body paint.
“Vended is a unit aimed at world domination, and this album is the first step,” Griffin added. “Welcome to Vended.”
In addition to Griffin Taylor on vocals and Simon Crahan on drums, the band’s lineup features lead guitarist Cole Espeland, bassist Jeremiah Pugh, and rhythm guitarist Connor Grodzicki.
The album announcement follows news of Vended’s first-ever headlining tour — a US Fall jaunt that kicks off in late September (get tickets here). The dates follow a previously announced run of shows opening for Slipknot and Knocked Loose.
