The official X (formerly Twitter) page of the movie shared the footage with the following caption, “Since you asked nicely. The final #Venom: The Last Dance trailer drops this Thursday.”
In the new footage, which seemingly comprises scenes from the previous trailers and clips as well, we see Venom and Eddie facing a mysterious symbiote creature with several rows of sharp teeth once more. There are considerable speculations about its identity. It’s predicted to be a Xenophage, a feral alien species that hunts symbiotes. Alternatively, it could be Sony’s rendition of the symbiote “dragon” Grendel. After all, Venom does say in the footage that its home world has found it.
In Venom: The Last Dance, Eddie and Venom are forced to go into hiding as their worlds come after them. The cast includes Tom Hardy as Eddie Brock / Venom, Peggy Lu as Mrs. Chen, Juno Temple as Dr. Payne, and Stephen Graham as Patrick Mulligan. Chiwetel Ejiofor and Rhys Ifans will also appear in the movie. Kelly Marcel, who helmed the first two Venom movies, wrote and directed Venom: The Last Dance from a story she developed with Hardy based on Marvel Comics.
The film was originally supposed to come out in 2024. But, the release date was shifted to July 12, 2024, due to the 2023 SAG-AFTRA strike, and then to November 8, 2024, following the conclusion of the strike. In May 2024, the film received its current release date.
