A veteran is at war with his father in clip from Battle Scars

In the new drama Battle Scars, Zane Holtz (The Perks of Being a Wallflower) plays a character named Luke who shows up at the house of his brother Nicky (Ryan Eggold) after a tour of duty in Afghanistan. In pain, both mentally and physically, Luke wants nothing more than to forget the war, but his veteran father (David James Elliott) won’t let him. Then, at a local strip club run by a ruthless killer, Luke crosses paths with Michelle (Heather McComb), who leads him into a violent world as dangerous and brutal as the one he is trying to leave behind.

Battle Scars is written and directed by Danny Buday and costars Fariuza Balk (American History X, Ray Donovan). You can watch the trailer for the film below and see an exclusive scene featuring Holtz, Eggold, and Elliott, above.

Battle Scars is released in theaters and VOD on July 14.
