Vevo and Yahoo Extend Content Partnership

Yahoo Screen, the tech company’s trending video portal, has extended its partnership with Vevo, the companies announced today. The deal brings Vevo content, including music videos, live performances and original content to the Yahoo site. Content is currently International Power Players: Rio Caraeff, Alexander Kisch

The portal is organized into genres — alternative, world music, soundtrack, etc. — as well as ‘New Releases’ and ‘Vevo LIFT,’ a section focused on rising artists sponsored by McDonald’s. Late last month, Yahoo Screen was made available to Roku users, extending the platform’s reach by something like 8 million-plus eyeballs, according to the company.

Vevo views were up by a third last year, with the fastest-growing mediums (smartphones, tablets, and internet-connected TVs) driving most of that expansion.
