Victoria’s Secret Returns To The Runway For NYFW: Doja Cat, Naomi Campbell And More
After a 4-year hiatus, Victoria’s Secret returned to the New York Fashion Week runway last night (Sept. 6) for their 2023 World Tour event, held at The Manhattan Center.
The evening welcomed celebrities, models and general lovers of fashion, including headliner Doja Cat, tennis star Naomi Osaka, Lori Harvey, Winnie Harlow, Ziwe, and Naomi Campbell, who held her own PrettyLittleThing event the previous night.
“Fans of Victoria’s Secret will be introduced to the VS20, a group of 20 creatives from around the world who collaborated with the brand on ensembles for a newly imagined version of its signature runway show,” read a statement on the event.
In the absence of the iconic VS fashion shows, Rihanna’s Savage X Fenty has largely taken over as thee lingerie runway show of note thanks to inclusive sizing, diverse models and stellar show production. VS has since realized the error in their ways, according to CEO Martin Waters.
“When the world was changing, we were too slow to respond,” they said back in 2018. “We needed to stop being about what men want and to be about what women want.”
The Victoria’s Secret World Tour 2023 event is set to debut Sept. 26 on Amazon Prime Video. Check out snaps from the show below.
