Things got heated on the set of The View this week—but not in the usual way.

Co-hosts Whoopi Goldberg, Joy Behar, Sunny Hostin, Ana Navarro and Alyssa Farah Griffin were forced to evacuate their New York City studio before going live on air Wednesday, April 10, as a result of a grease fire that broke out next door at The Tamron Hall Show's studios.

Goldberg, 68, explained what happened at the start of Wednesday's show, as she and the rest of the co-hosts cheekily walked out to Billy Joel's hit song, "We Didn't Start the Fire."

"This morning we had to evacuate the studio because there was a fire that we did not start," the Sister Act star stated, while the show panned to photo and video footage of what was going on behind the scenes when the situation occurred.

The hosts were also pictured outside on the streets while waiting for the building to be cleared.

"It really made me understand my priorities, because once I saw all the hosts were fine, I was like, 'Where's my glam team?' " Farah Griffin, 34, quipped, while further joking, "Like, leave [executive producer Brian Teta], but as long as hair and makeup is safe.'"

"Yes, it's really dangerous to see us on the street without hair and makeup," added Behar, 81.

Fortunately, no one was harmed as a result of the scary incident. The Tamron Hall show, however, had to air a re-run as a result of the interruption, but not before Hall, 53, got a chance to send a live message to viewers.

"We have had something that's never happened on the five seasons of The Tamron Hall Show," Hall explained in her message while assuring everyone that the entire staff was safe.

"Our team reacted in incredible time," she said, thanking the firefighters and the in-person audience for their help and cooperation.

"I'm going to fade to black but I'll be back here on our set live tomorrow," she concluded.
