'The View' Co-Hosts Send a Direct Message to NFL Fans About Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce
Travis Kelce has been under scrutiny for what some consider his less-than-stellar performance this season, with some NFL fans blaming Taylor Swift for distracting the Kansas City Chiefs tight end—but on the Sept. 24 episode of The View, the talk show's co-hosts had a message for all the anti-Swifties out there.
As Entertainment Weekly reported, during the show's Hot Topics segment, Whoopi Goldberg questioned anyone accusing Swift of "taking [Kelce's] mind off the game," saying they "apparently forgot that they won the Super Bowl [this] year."
"Is she supposed to play the game, too?" Sunny Hostin asked.
"As I understand it, football is a team sport," pointed out Alyssa Farah Griffin.
"Just because he's not making touchdowns doesn't mean he's not contributing to the success of the team," Griffin continued. "They're currently undefeated this season. Once again, just the classic blaming a woman for a man."

"I'm blaming MAGA," Goldberg offered. "I think it's them, because they're mad because [Swift] is not supporting You-Know-Who. They're putting all of this out there."
"They need to watch that, because they're losing the women's vote as it is," said Joy Behar.
At an event on Monday, Sept. 23, Kelce's mother Donna—known as Mama Kelce—also spoke out in defense of her son, telling PEOPLE reporters that all of the harsh talk about Travis has been "tough" to hear as his mother.
"You know, I don’t think they realize the pressure that people are under, whether they’re athletes or professionals that are in front of the camera. And it's just very difficult, there’s a lot of things going on behind the scenes,” she said.
