All eyes were on Alyssa Farah Griffin and Sunny Hostin as The View co-hosts arrived at the 51st Daytime Emmy Awards, where the show has been nominated for six awards this year.
Griffin and Hostin posed together on the red carpet as they arrived looking stunning for the Friday, June 7 ceremony at the Westin Bonaventure Los Angeles.
At the star-studded event, Hostin rocked a shimmery gold halter gown, while Griffin donned a hot pink asymmetrical dress with one off-shoulder strap. Each carried clutches that coordinated with their looks.
This year’s ceremony occurred just six months after the 2023 Daytime Emmy Awards, which were delayed due to last year’s WGA and SAG-AFTRA strikes. The 2023 ceremony was initially scheduled to take place in mid-June but was ultimately pushed to December 15, less than three months after the writers’ strike ended and just over one month after an agreement was reached in the actors’ strike.
The View picked up one award at the 2023 Daytime Emmys in the Art Direction/Set Decoration/Scenic Design category. The ABC daytime talk show was also nominated in the Directing Team for a Multiple Camera Daytime Non-Fiction Program, Lighting Direction, and Technical Direction, Camerawork, Video categories.
This year, The View snapped up six nominations in the following categories: Daytime Talk Series, Daytime Talk Series Host, Directing Team for a Multiple Camera Daytime Non-Fiction Program, Lighting Direction, Art Direction/Set Decoration/Scenic Design, and Hairstyling and Makeup.
Joy Behar, Whoopi Goldberg, Griffin, Sara Haines, Hostin and Ana Navarro were collectively nominated in this year’s Daytime Talk Series Host category.
