The View Watchers Will See Some Major Changes This Season
If you’re a soap fan, chances are you also watch other daytime TV like talk shows and game shows. If you tune in to watch The View this season, you will notice some changes.
Season 28
Season 28 of The View premiered on September 3, and right off the bat, viewers heard something different. The talk show received a gorgeous new set in its new studio in the Manhattan headquarters of the Walt Disney Company. Perhaps the biggest change was the new theme song.

The whole thing was introduced in a dramatic opening skit, showing the final moments in the previous studio and showing off the “new digs.” Host Whoopie Goldberg introduced the new season with “We are kicking off Season 28 in a brand new studio. People have been working hard all summer long with the brand new opening and the brand new theme song called ‘This Version,’ performed by Leona Lewis and written by the all-time fabulous and brilliant Grammy Award-winning Diane Warren.”
Before this season, the show’s theme song was “For My Girls,” performed by Brandy Norwood and Nicole Scherzinger. The hosts this year include Whoopie, Sara Haines, Ana Navarro, Joy Behar, Sunny Hostin, and Alyssa Farrah Griffin.
One Thing Stayed The Same
Interestingly, during the opening few minutes, the hosts mentioned that they kept the table from the old studio. However, according to People executive producer Brian Teta explained, “We kept the table, because that was new last year, and that remains the centerpiece as always. But at the same time, everything around it is new and modern and sleek. It makes it familiar to what people like about The View, but also elevates it to the next level.“
