'The View's Sunny Hostin Sends a Direct Message to Donald Trump After Personal Attack

Sunny Hostin has some choice words for Donald Trump.

After the former president made a sharp diss toward Hostin at a recent campaign rally, the talk show anchor called him out directly.

In a clip replayed during the Thursday, Oct. 10 episode of The View, Trump, 78, trash talked Hostin at his rally on Wednesday, telling the audience that the TV personality is a "dummy" and a "dumb woman."

He also said that Hostin, 55, is "dumber" than his opponent, Kamala Harris, who sat down with The View co-hosts earlier this week.

In response to the low blow, Hostin looked into the cameras during Thursday's broadcast to tell Trump, "I want to thank you for personally telling so many lies and committing so many alleged crimes and providing us with material on a daily basis."

"You help us do our jobs, and I'm so appreciative," she said, oozing with sarcasm, while the crowd began to erupt with applause.

"Because of people like you, a former prosecutor and legal expert can become a fixture on a show like this, and again I'm so grateful," Hostin continued. "I admit, I may not have spent as much time in a courtroom as you have."

She went on to further roast the Apprentice alum, stating, "I was also recognized with a special achievement award by the Department of Justice, you remember the Department of Justice, right? It's the agency that's been pursuing you for decades."

"And as for dumb questions, you're always welcome to come here and answer some if sitting so close to a prosecutor won't make you nervous," Hostin then quipped before wrapping up her speech with a fiery final line.

"I'll even give you a free View mug, not to be confused though with a mugshot, because that's your area," she said, while the crowd roared with cheers and applause.
