Virgin River Renewed for Season 7 — Here’s Everything We Know So Far
Netflix is keeping Virgin River flowing, renewing the romantic drama for Season 7, TVLine has learned.
Based on Robyn Carr’s popular book series, the Netflix drama follows nurse practitioner Mel Monroe (Alexandra Breckenridge), who relocates from Los Angeles to the show’s titular small town, where she finds love with plaid-skinned bartender Jack Sheridan (Martin Henderson).

After facing every hurdle imaginable — including a vengeful ex, a paternity mystery and a devastating miscarriage — Mel and Jack finally got engaged at the end of Season 4, with Netflix promising that we’ll finally see the couple exchange vows in Season 6.

News of Virgin River‘s Season 7 renewal comes roughly two months ahead of the show’s sixth season premiere on Thursday, Dec. 19. Those 10 episodes offer “fresh twists and turns, escalating love triangles, delightful wedding drama, as well as uncovered secrets from Mel’s father’s past which will transport us to the magic and mystique of Virgin River in the 1970s,” according to Netflix’s official synopsis.
In addition to Breckenridge and Henderson, Virgin River stars Tim Matheson as Doc, Annette O’Toole as Hope, Colin Lawrence as Preacher, Benjamin Hollingsworth as Brady, Zibby Allen as Brie, Sarah Dugdale as Lizzie, Marco Grazzini as Mike, Kai Bradbury as Denny, Kandyse McClure as Kaia and Mark Ghanime as Cameron.
Patrick Sean Smith serves as showrunner, executive-producing alongside Sue Tenney, Amy Palmer Robertson, Roma Roth, Christopher E. Perry, Robyn Carr, Erin Cardillo and Richard Keith.

Virgin River Season 7 Release Date
An exact release date has not yet been announced for Season 7, but given that Season 6 doesn’t drop until Dec. 19, 2024, we wouldn’t expect to see Season 7 until sometime in 2026.

Since Mel and Jack’s wedding is the focus of Season 6, we can safely assume that Season 7 will follow the happy couple into their first year of married life — assuming their nuptials do go off without a hitch.
