The Voice season 26 Blind Auditions may be over, but who says we can't talk about how incredible the musicians auditioning were now that we've made it to the Battle Rounds?
This was exactly the case for Cameron Wright, who appeared on the October 11 episode vying for a spot on Michael Bublé, Snoop Dogg, Reba McEntire or Gwen Stefani's teams. The singer appeared on stage to sing a moving rendition of Barbra Streisand's hit "The Way We Were"(which was featured in the 1973 film of the same name that she starred in), and just a few seconds after the tune began, it quickly appeared there was a new contender for the show. All four coaches immediately turned their chairs around (with Snoop taking his glasses off in shock by the person behind the voice!), and they each showered Cameron with high praise for the emotional song cover.
"Not one moment wasn't perfect, the way you sang that," Gwen told Cameron as the coaches gave their feedback. "It was insane! It's so inspiring to be around people like you, that are just so gifted."
Upon hearing this incredible audition, it didn't take long for fans to declare how much they want Cameron to make it all the way to The Voice season 26 finale.
"Snoop doesn't always take off his glasses but when ever he does, it means that the person is extremely good, I think he will get to the finals," one person wrote in the YouTube comments. "YOU WILL NOT FIND A BETTER VOICE. CAMERON IS THE VOICE," another exclaimed. "Tonight we may have witnessed the Winner of The Voice 2024!!!!" a different viewer added.
So, which team did Cameron choose to join and become part of the competition? Well, it appeared to be Michael's lucky day, as Cameron chose him to be a mentor throughout the rest of The Voice season 26.
With a voice like that, we definitely need to keep an eye out on Cameron during the Battle Rounds!
