And 'The Voice' Season 13 winner is …
You could cut the tension on The Voice stage with a knife as Carson Daly took the required three-to-five-second pause before announcing the winner’s name. The finale had come down to a contest between Chloe Kohanski and Addison Agen — and the 23-year-old rocker from Tennessee was named this season’s winner. Chloe brought home a sixth Voice victory for Blake Shelton, who was excited about what this might to do for his career. “You’re a superstar, sis,” Blake told Chloe, “and maybe you’ll let me open for you one of these days.”
Even though Chloe was the winner, the other three finalists didn’t walk away empty-handed. Each won a brand-new Toyota Camry and got to sing with some of their heroes. Brooke Simpson took the stage with Sia to sing, “Titanium“; Red Marlow teamed up with Vince Gill for a country classic; Addison Agen joined Norah Jones, and Chloe rocked out with her idol, Billy Idol.
A plethora of performers crushed it on the Voice stage — from Demi Lovato to former coach Pharrell Williams and his band, N.E.R.D. to future coach Kelly Clarkson — but the performance of the night came from former Team JHud member Chris Weaver, aka Nedra Bell, and her fierce drag queen quartette.
The Voice airs Mondays and Tuesdays at 8 p.m. on NBC. Watch clips and full episodes of The Voice free on Yahoo View.
