'The Voice's Top 12 Perform for America's First Vote of the Season
Josh Sanders, L. Rodgers, Asher HaVon
The Voice went live on Monday night with performances by the Top 12 artists—Asher HaVon, Bryan Olesen, Josh Sanders, Karen Waldrup, L. Rodgers, Maddi Jane, Madison Curbelo, Nadège, Nathan Chester, Serenity Arce, Tae Lewis, and Zoe Levert—voted on for the first time by America rather than coaches Reba McEntire, John Legend, Chance the Rapper, and Dan + Shay.
Then after the votes are tallied, on Tuesday night host Carson Daly will reveal the results. Three artists will go home, no matter what team they’re on, and next week the Top 9 will perform.

Bryan Olesen
Song: “Don’t Stop Me Now” by Queen
John said: “How is this guy not already selling out arenas? That is amazing to me. After rehearsals, I said, 'This has to open or close the show.' This was too much magic to put in the middle.”
Tae Lewis
Song: “19 You + Me” by Dan + Shay
Shay Mooney said: “You absolutely crushed it. I’m getting emotional because the whole journey—getting to watch you.”
Dan Smyers said: “I am so proud of you. That’s your best performance yet. I’m pumped. You belong here.”

Maddi Jane

Chance said: “I am so proud and so blown away. You’ve been incredible the whole competition. Every time you perform, you show off another talent. You’ve always had stage presence. This is probably my favorite performance so far.”
L. Rodgers
Song: “Up to the Mountain” (MLK Song) by Patty Griffin
Reba said: “Way to go, girl. You nailed it. Everything we talked about in rehearsals. The emotion. I always said when you start singing, I can feel it.”
Madison Curbelo
Song: “Yesterday” by The Beatles
Shay said: “I am so proud. I love having that clock behind you because it reminds me that your journey will forever be burned into my memory. I am choked up here. It’s not just your voice coming out. It’s your soul and your spirit. I’m glad the world gets to hear you sing.”

Asher HaVon

Reba said: “God put you on this earth to sing. You said you didn’t hear secular music until you were in your 20s and then God let you come out here and be with us.”
Zoe Levert

John said: “You are just blossoming and getting better every time. I love your tone. You sound like a recording artist when you are singing. You were meant to be on the stage.”
Karen Waldrup
Song: “I Hope You Dance” by Lee Ann Womack
Dan said: “I am so proud of you. I couldn’t help thinking watching that performance that younger you, this is a song that she would sing to you: I hope you dance and take that shot and come on a show like this.”
Serenity Arce
