The Wait is Over for 'Yellowstone' Fans for the Series Finale
In celebration of its Season 1 premiere anniversary—January 20, 2018, Paramount Network announced today that the second half of Season 5 of Yellowstone will return on Sunday, Nov. 10 at 8 p.m. ET/PT.
The hit drama that chronicles the Dutton family, who controls the largest contiguous cattle ranch in the United States, has resumed filming in Montana with main cast members Kelly Reilly (Beth), Wes Bentley (Jamie), Luke Grimes (Kayce), and Kelsey Asbille (Monica Dutton) all returning to wrap up their storylines for this final season.
When Yellowstone returns, it will continue to explore the shifting alliances, unsolved murders, open wounds of its cast as the ranch is in constant conflict with those it borders—an expanding town, an Indian reservation, and America’s first national park.
It is unclear if there will be a time jump when the story picks up, but the Yellowstone Season 5A finale, which wrapped in January 2023, ended on a cliffhanger. Jamie had challenged his sister Beth and father in a move that could see an all-out family war.

It will be interesting to see how the story plays out in the absence of Kevin Costner (John Dutton). Although, that could change. While appearing on Today to promote his upcoming movie Horizon, Costner indicated his willingness to revisit his role.
He told Savannah Guthrie, “I’ve supported that thing and I’ve loved it. It’s been really important to me. I would love to go back under the right circumstances. I think that all of us want [that]. For me, it really needs to be the right circumstances.”
He continued, “Saying there’s a chance, there’s always a chance. I love the thing. You’ve got to be really clear about that.”
Following the conclusion of Yellowstone, two additional series in the franchises have been greenlit: the prequel 1944 and 2024.
Internationally, Yellowstone will premiere on Paramount+ in Canada on November 10th, the U.K. on November 11th and in Latin America, Brazil and France later in November.
