Walker Hayes Just Won $25,000 For A Charity That Is Near And Dear To His Heart
Survey says: he’s a winner!
Alabama native Walker Hayes is a TikTok sensation, a Grammy nominated artist, and now he’s a game show champion.
Tuesday night, Walker along with his wife Laney, producer Shane McAnalley, managers Robert Carlton and Marissa Turk appeared on ABC’s Celebrity Family Feud. Walker and friends took on Rachel Bilson and her cohorts from her podcast Broad Ideas.
Walker’s jovial, positive attitude was on full display, as he danced up to meet host Steve Harvey and his competitor at the podium. The “Fancy Like” singer wasted no time calling the number one answer on the board for that very first question, taking control of the game. With four correct answers, Team Walker took round one.
Walker’s wife Laney was next up at the buzzer and she did not disappoint. The mom of seven also came up with the top answer on the board and remained in control of the game.
Despite getting six of the seven answers, the last one stumped Team Walker and with three strikes, Team Broad Ideas was able to steal and win that round. But that was okay, momentum was not lost over on Walker’s side.
Although, arguably the best answer of the night, Shane McAnalley stumbled at the buzzer when asked “If the word of God is number one for you, whose word is number two?” His answer? “Oprah.” This answer gave Steve Harvey quite the chuckle but unfortunately, it gave Team Broad Ideas a chance to take control of the game. They also came short of finding an answer on the board so once again, Team Walker had a chance to play and they won another round.
In the final round, it came down to one answer left on the board. A real nail-biter, y’all. Team Broad Ideas had a chance to steal for the win but they just couldn’t match the wit and dominance of Team Walker. With 537 points, Walker and his buddies won the game.
Walker and Shane took center stage with Steve to represent their team in the final game of the night, Fast Money. The two friends crushed it and won $25,000 for Hope International.
Hope International is a cause about which the singer-songwriter is very passionate and in which he is very involved. He’s taken several trips with the group to Rwanda to help out in the groups efforts to alleviate poverty.
This $25,000 is sure to go a long way in making even more of a difference. Way to go Team Walker!
