The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon’s New Season 2 Teaser Challenges Our Hero to ‘Bet on Hope’ (Exclusive)
Friday the 13th turned out to be a lucky day for fans of The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon: AMC not only dropped two pieces of key art for Season 2 of the fifth spinoff in the franchise but exclusively gave TVLine a new teaser in which things appear to be so dire for Norman Reedus’ embattled protagonist that he’s encouraged by Clémence Poésy’s Sister Isabelle to “bet on hope.”
And, erm, just what is she doing on top of him? Mon dieu! (Maybe we weren’t mad after all to think that we saw sparks fly between the two of them.)

Both posters for The Book of Carol, which installs Walking Dead OG Melissa McBride as a series regular, offer reminders that “even heroes need saving.”
Of that, we have never had any doubt. When Daryl Dixon kicks off its second season on Sunday, Sept. 29, at 9/8c, besties Daryl and Carol “confront old demons,” per the network, as she moves heaven and earth to find him, and he grapples with his decision to stick around France — and, more significantly, to remain with his de-facto family, Isabelle and Laurent (Louis Puech Scigliuzzi).
At the same time, the merciless Genet (Anne Charrier) and her Pouvoir du Vivant (Power of the Living) movement gain momentum, setting up an epic clash between her soldiers and the pacifistic Union of Hope.
Daryl Dixon has already been renewed for Season 3, albeit with a marked change of scenery. (Read all about that here.) Refresh your memory as to where the show left off with our Season 1 finale recap.
