‘Walking Dead’ Season 7, Episode 12 Recap: Rick Gets Guns and Almost Gets Eaten
On the “Say Yes” episode of The Walking Dead, Rick and Michonne went looking for guns to arm their new allies, the Heapsters.
Rick and Michonne searched a lot of houses in the outlying areas in hopes of finding guns to fight Negan. Although they didn’t have much luck finding weapons, they had no problem finding places to be romantic. Then, as luck would have it, they stumbled onto an old carnival filled with gun-wielding walkers.
While the couple was performing some reconnaissance on the area, they fell through the roof a building that was full of preserved foods. This was the icing on the cake for the two of them, as their search for guns quickly turned into a date night, complete with chili mac and cheese for dinner.
The next morning they went to kill all the walkers in the carnival so they could collect their weapons, but a dilapidated old Ferris wheel caused Rick to fall right into a mob of walkers. By the time Michonne arrived to help him it appeared that he had been eaten by walkers, which was quite upsetting for her. But, pulling a page out of the Glenn playbook, Rick somehow escaped and hid in a box as the walkers feasted on something else.
After the scare, the couple killed the remaining walkers, gathered the guns, and met back up with the Heapsters. Unfortunately, the new weirdo allies didn’t think the 63 military guns they collected were enough, so it looks as though Rick and Michonne are going to get a second date out on the town.
The Walking Dead airs Sundays at 9pm ET on AMC.
