For some people, a kitchen is a place for creativity. For others, it's a daunting challenge. For others, it's a cultural connection. And for others, it's simply a practical place to make the next meal.
Regardless, sometimes it's helpful to have a little inspiration, like a dinner idea or a spicy sauce that you can use to make dozens of flavorful meals. This is where the chefs who are influencers come in, often serving up ideas from their home kitchens that make the whole thing feel that much more approachable.

Fun, upbeat and lovely, Emmeline Cho, better known as Emmy, started her YouTube channel in 2010, while she was living overseas in Japan. It started when she posted a video of her using a Japanese candy-making kit and grew from there to her tasting and cooking recipes from all over the world. Now living in Rhode Island, she posts new videos to YouTube twice a week and posts regular updates on Facebook, including regular appearances from her backyard chickens.

Bold, funny and undeniably profane, Gary Marandola is your guide to cooking some barbecue. Marandola, who has launched his own line of rubs, sauces and spices, makes videos of some of his very seasoned home-cooked meals and cocktails. He was on the first season of “Next Level Chef.”

Vibrant as they come, Omi Hopper celebrates Puerto Rican cooking. Hopper started making cooking videos during the pandemic to keep boredom at bay, and then says she kept at it because she loved educating about Puerto Rican cooking. She’s currently a contestant on the show “Next Level Chef.”
