Want to watch a taping of 'The Daily Show' during the RNC in Milwaukee? Here's how.
If you're hoping to watch a taping of "The Daily Show" when it comes to Milwaukee for the 2024 Republican National Convention, they've got a website for that.
What they don't have, however, is a lot of information about what or who you'll be watching — or even where.
Comedy Central, the cable channel that airs "The Daily Show," uses 1iota.com, a fan-experience registration website, to distribute tickets for the show when it tapes live in New York City. Within that site, there's 1iota.com/show/1728/the-daily-show-in-milwaukee, where you can register for tickets to the show's tapings in Milwaukee during the RNC.
According to the ticketing site, the tapings July 15-17 will be at 3 p.m. Central Time; for the final night of the convention, July 18, it'll be at 8 p.m. Central.
Where will the tapings take place? The site says simply "Milwaukee."
Who'll be at the tapings? Not a word, not even whether Jon Stewart — the longtime "Daily Show" host who returned to the program for once-a-week appearances earlier this year — will pay Milwaukee a visit.
What the site does say:
You have to have or start a 1iota.com account to register for tickets.
You can request up to two tickets.
Registering for a ticket doesn't guarantee a seat; tickets are issued "in excess of capacity."
Be there at least one hour before the start of taping, which generally takes about a half-hour.
You have to be 18 or older to be able to attend.
The Milwaukee Record first dug up the information about the "Daily Show" RNC ticket site.
