Leading the charge at this year’s ceremony is FX’s “Shogun,” which scored a stunning 25 nominations (including limited series) and scored first-time acting nominations for stars Hiroyuki Sanada and Anna Sawai. It’s a big night for FX, which heads into the ceremony with 93 noms altogether — helped also by the record-breaking 23 nominations (the most in Emmy history) for its comedy series “The Bear.”
“The Bear” was already an Emmy superstar, having landed 10 wins in 2023 — making it the most Emmys won by a series in its first season. This time, “The Bear” stars Jeremy Allen White, Ayo Edebiri, Ebon Moss-Bachrach, Lionel Boyce and Liza Colón-Zayas all received acting nods.

Father-son duo of Eugene Levy and Dan Levy will emcee this year’s Emmys. The two made history in 2020 as the first father and son to win major awards in the same year, thanks to “Schitt’s Creek.” Eugene Levy and Dan Levy rep the first-ever father-son hosting partners for the Emmys; they’re also the first duo to do it since 2018 (when Colin Jost and Michael Che co-hosted) and only the second duo to host this century.
It will be a big Emmys for Eugene Levy: He’s nominated this year for his Apple TV+ series “The Reluctant Traveler With Eugene Levy,” which is up for outstanding hosted nonfiction series or special.
