As the trailer suggest, All the Light We Cannot See takes place against the grim backdrop of WWII, and follows Marie-Laure, a young blind girl living with her father and uncle in St. Malo, France. In secret, Marie-Laure begins illegal radio broadcasts where she speaks of hope and humanity to combat the darkness of war. Meanwhile, a teen boy is tasked with finding Marie-Laure and silencing her forever.

All the Light We Cannot See stars Aria Mia Loberti as Marie-Laure, the young, blind French protagonist who illegally broadcasts stories of hope over the radio in war torn France during World War II. Mark Ruffalo plays her father, Daniel LeBlanc. Louis Hofmann plays Werner, a teen boy enlisted by Hitler’s regime to track down illegal broadcasts like Marie-Laure’s. Also in the cast are Lars Eidinger, Hugh Laurie and Marion Bailey.

Netflix is the place to watch the newest hit show All the Light We Cannot See. Netflix’s new series All the Light We Cannot See is based on a novel of the same name by Anthony Doerr. Doerr’s book is one of the most-acclaimed novels of the past decade, winning a Pulitzer Prize and shortlisted for a National Book Award.
Screenwriter Steven Knight and director Shawn Levy have turned the 544-page novel into a four-episode limited series, now streaming in its entirety on Netflix.
