Watch Diddy, French Montana in Triumphant ‘Can’t Feel My Face’ Video
Diddy and French Montana rollick on a private plane in the drunken, celebratory new clip for “Can’t Feel My Face.” “Got me mixin’ pills and liquor,” Montana raps. “I can’t feel my face.”
The beat for the new single is fierce but unhurried, like a heavyweight boxer who knows his opponent doesn’t stand a chance. One synth rises with the tone of an air raid siren, sounding the alarm repeatedly, while the drums hit in potent clusters. There are touches of Teflon Don-era Rick Ross bombast in the track, and echoes of “Big Homie,” a previous collaboration between Diddy (as Puff Daddy) and French Montana from 2014 that landed with the crushing power of a falling tree.

But after two minutes of high energy escapades, the song and video take an unexpected detour: The music cuts away, and the camera flashes to Montana, who sips out of a Solo cup next to a Buddha statue. “Thank you for all the inspiration you gave us,” he tells the statue. “I have to act like you sometimes … have to act like I’m just numb to the pain, ’cause I’m bleeding on the inside.”
Last year, Montana climbed inside the top 40 with “No Shopping” featuring Drake.
