Paloma Elsesser is spreading her wings at her first-ever Victoria's Secret Fashion Show. The model has previously walked for high-end brands like Hermès, Ferragamo, Mugler, Carolina Herrera, and Proenza Schouler, and now, she's officially one of Victoria's Secret's iconic Angels. Honestly? Could not love this vibe for her more.
Paloma made history at the show as one of the first plus-sized models to walk the runway. In 2019, Victoria's Secret infamously put the show on hiatus in an effort to make it more inclusive and representative of different body types. The lingerie brand also hired its first-ever plus-sized model, Ali Tate Cutler, that same year for a campaign. Now, Paloma regularly models for several VS campaigns, including one alongside OG Angel Candice Swanepoel for the Bombshell eau de parfum.
Ahead of her VS runway debut, Paloma described the updated show as “a fresh start and a new vision for the future.”
“It means stepping into a space that’s evolving and making room for more diverse voices and bodies,” she said during an August Q&A with the brand. As for her involvement, the supermodel gushed,“The return of the show actually means a lot to me. I think growing up, obviously I thought these women were so beautiful and embodied an identity and experience that I couldn't particularly relate to, but that I really admired.”
She added, “I'm really excited for this show to speak to a new generation of models and people, and also speaking to legends of the past.”
