Watch a trailer for Aubrey Plaza's upcoming film 'My Old Ass'

Wondering what life would be like if Aubrey Plaza, who recently turned 40, could talk to her much-younger self?

Well, Amazon MGM Studios can't answer that, but they are out to explore what a 39-year-old woman portrayed by the Delaware A-list actress would say if she were somehow able to hang in real time with an 18-year old version of herself.

The studio recently dropped the first trailer for "My Old Ass,'' a new film starring Plaza and directed by Megan Park. Maisy Stella plays the younger version of Plaza's character, Elliot. The film also stars Percy Hynes White, Maddie Ziegler and Kerrice Brooks.

"My Old Ass'' made a critically acclaimed debut at the Sundance Film Festival in January, and is expected to be released in a limited run to theaters on Sept. 13.

When the older Elliott starts handing out warnings about what her younger self should and shouldn't do, she realizes she has to rethink everything about family, love, and what's becoming a transformative summer.''
