How You Can Watch 'Twisters' This Weekend

HOLD ON TIGHT, and brace yourself for the adrenaline-packed journey that Twisters will take you on. The quasi-sequel to the 1996 tornado disaster film Twister storms into theaters, promising high action, heart-pounding thrills, and exciting performances from Glen Powell, Daisy Edgar-Jones, Anthony Ramos, Katy O'Brian, and Kiernan Shipka.
Taking place in Oklahoma, Daisy Edgar-Jones plays Kate, a meteorologist and former storm chaser, who fleed from her traumatic past by relocating to New York City. Ramos portrays Javi, Kate’s former colleague, who persuades her to return to Oklahoma to help with his weather company amid a deadly tornado outbreak as they try to implement new storm predicting technology. Powell shines as Tyler Owens, also known as the “Tornado Wrangler,” a fearless storm chaser and social media star known for his high-risk YouTube videos.
The film is directed by Lee Isaac Chung (who previously directed A24's tremendous Minari), and is now playing in theaters.

Twisters is now playing one place and one place only: your local theater.
So, for now, that's the only way to see the summer's premiere disaster flick. In fact, for such a spectacle, we'd suggest hitting up your local IMAX, where the big stars and bigger storms will look as big as possible.

Where and when will Twisters be on streaming?
The at-home availability of Twisters will depend on its box office results, and how long Universal plans on keeping it exclusively on the big screen. The longer it's making big money, the longer until it'll be available at home.
That said, it'll likely be available on PVOD in two or so months at the latest, and since it's a Universal film, will be available to stream exclusively on Peacock after that.
