‘Wednesday’ Reveals Behind-the-Scenes Look at Season 2
Jenna Ortega is back as Wednesday Addams in a behind-the-scenes look at Wednesday season two, which is described as being “bigger and more twisted than you can ever imagine.”
Netflix unveiled the new footage at an in-person fan event Thursday evening in Atlanta. The video sees original castmembers Ortega, Hunter Doohan, Emma Myers, Joy Sunday, Luis Guzmán and Catherine Zeta-Jones, and of course, Thing (Victor Dorobantu), returning to the Nevermore Academy set.

Glimpses of different scenes being filmed, including Ortega’s Wednesday arriving on campus with her typical deadpan expression, Nevermore students gathering in a field and Thing snooping around as always, were featured in the behind-the-scenes look. Tim Burton was also spotted in the director’s chair again.
“If we showed you any more, your eyes would bleed and I’m not that generous,” Ortega says at the end of the video. Watch it below.
Production on Wednesday season two officially got underway in May in Ireland. The comedy fantasy, created by Al Gough and Miles Millar, also added a dozen new castmembers including Steve Buscemi, Billie Piper, Evie Templeton, Owen Painter and Noah Taylor, among others.
In January, Ortega also shared that she’s pleased with the scripts this season after previously being criticized for publicly disparaging the series’ writing in the first installment.
“We’re definitely leaning into a little more horror,” the actress teased earlier this year. “Everything is bigger, it’s a lot more action-packed.” The Beetlejuice Beetlejuice star added that every episode “feels like a movie,” and though Wednesday’s narrative has evolved, the character “never really changes.”
A release date for Wednesday season two has yet to be announced.
