Netflix has finally announced the official Wednesday Season 2 cast for the highly-anticipated next installment to the popular Addams Family spin-off, which had just begun its production in Ireland.

Joining Golden Globe nominee Jenna Ortega in Season 2 are new cast members Billie Piper (Doctor Who), Evie Templeton (Return to Silent Hill), Owen Painter (Tiny Beautiful Things), Noah B. Taylor (Law & Order: Organized Crime), Steve Buscemi (Boardwalk Empire), Joanna Lumley (Absolutely Fabulous), Thandiwe Newton (Westworld), Frances O’Connor (The Missing), Haley Joel Osment (The Sixth Sense), Heather Matarazzo (The Princess Diaries) and Joonas Suotamo (Star Wars sequel trilogy), with Christopher Lloyd (Back to the Future).

Lloyd originally portrayed Fester Addams in the original live-action movies, where he co-starred alongside Anjelica Huston and Raul Julia. The veteran actor will be the second cast member from the 90s Addams Family movies who will be appearing in the show, following Christina Ricci in Season 1. As for Piper, Buscemi, Lumley, and Newton, they will be portraying the respectively roles of Capri, Barry Dort, Grandmama, and Dr. Fairburn.

Who’s the returning cast of Wednesday Season 2?

Besides Ortega, Wednesday Season 2 will also feature several returning cast members, including Emma Myers as Enid, Catherine Zeta-Jones as Morticia Addams, Luis Guzmán as Gomez Addams, Victor Dorobantu as Thing, Isaac Ordonez as Pugsley Addams, Hunter Doohan as Tyler, Fred Armisen as Uncle Fester, Joy Sunday as Bianca, Moosa Mostafa as Eugene, Georgie Farmer as Ajax, Luyanda Unati Lewis-Nyawo as Sherrif Deputy Ritchie Santiago, Jamie McShane as Sheriff Donovan Galpin and George Burcea as Lurch. Since the next season will shift its focus from Nevermore Academy to the Addams Family home, Zeta-Jones, Guzmán, Ordonez, and Lewis-Nyawo have been promoted to series regulars.

The coming-of-age supernatural comedy is executive produced and directed by Tim Burton (Beetlejuice, Corpse Bride). For Season 2, Ortega will also be returning as a producer. In a previous interview, she revealed that the next installment will focus more on the horror aspect, confirming that her character won’t have any love interest in Season 2.
