We'll toast to that: Northeast Wisconsin is getting a first-time fest devoted to Old Fashioned cocktail
ASHWAUBENON - You might be thinking, "What took so long?"
Someone finally had the good sense to toast Wisconsin’s cocktail of choice and beloved supper club staple with an event devoted entirely to it.
The first-time Northeast Wisconsin Old Fashioned Fest will mix it up — brandy or whiskey, sweet or sour — from 6 to 9 p.m. April 20 at Resch Expo.
For a $75 ticket, guests will be able to sample traditional and alternative versions of the drink from local establishments and vote for their favorite in each category. The night also includes light fare food and music on the Nicolet Bank Upper Level.
Tickets go on sale at 11 a.m. Friday at ticketstaronline.com, 800-895-0071 and the Resch Center box office. Attendance is limited to 300 people.
Participating establishments are:
1919 Kitchen & Tap
Chives Restaurant
Copper State Brewing Co.
Copperstill Bourbon Bar
Iron Duck Restaurant
Legacy Hotel
Lost Key Tap
The OC
Rupps Downtown
Taverne in the Sky

The Resch Expo, which hosted the first-time MeatFest in 2023, is bringing that event back on May 18. Details and ticket information have not yet been announced.
