Who Went Home and Who Made It Through Night 1 on 'The Voice' Season 25 Knockouts
Anya True
The Knockouts began tonight on Season 25 of The Voice with coaches Reba McEntire, John Legend, Chance the Rapper and Dan + Shay matching up their teams for sing-offs which determine which artist goes through to the Playoffs and which one goes home.
“It’s such a powerful experience for so many artists and you see them coming into their own in the Knockouts and I love it,” John said.
The Knockouts are different from the Battles in that they are not duets. Rather, each of the artists makes their own song choice, which gives America a chance to see who they are as a performer.
This year, the Mega Mentor is country great Keith Urban who will be working with the coaches and the artists on the songs that they've chosen to prepare for their performances, but it will be up to the individual coaches as to who goes through to the Playoffs. There are no Saves in this round, but there are Steals.

Tae Lewis: Cody Johnson's "Nothin’ on You."
Winner: Asher HaVon

It was a three-way Steal for Tae Lewis with John Legend, Dan + Shay and Chance all hitting their buttons, but Tae chose to stick with his country roots and went with Dan + Shay.

Steal: Kyle Schuesler
Chance said: “I was playing the long game, baby. I was just like a leopard waiting to pounce. I knew I was going to get you on my team at some point. I just had to play my cards right.
