'Westworld' Season Finale Ends With a Bang and a Lot of Gasps
Sunday’s Westworld season finale turned the park upside down. In the previous episode, we learned that there were multiple storylines, from different time periods, happening at once. That led to the realization in this episode that the nameless Man in Black, who has been terrorizing the hosts, was actually William. It seemed William fell in love with Dolores but then fell in love with the park more. As the majority owner of the park, he threatened Ford’s plans.
Another huge revelation came in the way of Ford’s intentions. It was thought he wanted to control the hosts, but he showed Dolores that he was training them to revolt.
The episode ended with a literal bang as Ford introduced his new storyline and was shot by Dolores. It became clear that Ford’s new narrative included his own demise and the revolt of the hosts in the park.
Westworld airs Sunday nights at 9 p.m. on HBO.
