Where JoJo Siwa Stands With Candace Cameron Bure After Public Feud

JoJo Siwa isn't dancing around her relationship with Candace Cameron Bure.

Two years after the Dance Moms alum's feud with the Fuller House star set the internet ablaze when she called her the "rudest celebrity" she'd ever met, it's water under the bridge for the two.

"We just don't walk on the same side of the road," JoJo explained on the Aug. 6 episode of her podcast JoJo Siwa Now. "That's fine. If I saw her, I would not say hi."

Indeed, the 21-year-old didn't expect her July 2022 TikTok, which also called out other celebrities, to go viral. And although she stands by her comments about the 48-year-old actress, JoJo admitted that it might've been better left unsaid.

"She wasn't nice to me when I met her," she shared. "That doesn't mean she's an awful, rude person. That just means that she was the rudest that I ever met. Looking back, I shouldn't even have put the picture of her. We had no real beef. She just wasn't nice to me as a kid. I wasn't expecting that part of the video to blow up."

The "Karma" singer admitted Candace's callout wasn't what she wanted to go viral in her video and instead "meant to throw shade at a company that did me dirty."

She ultimately felt bad about the situation since the two have mutual friends.

"Candace and I talked about it," JoJo recalled. "She was honestly pretty sweet to me about it. We talked publicly about it as well. She posted and I commented because it was bad. My people were going after her people were going after me."

But her beliefs shifted when she learned that the Full House alum—who is a chief creative officer at the Great American Family network—told The Wall Street Journal in November 2022 that she would make films that "keep traditional marriage at the core." Several celebrities at the time, including JoJo, suggested that this meant the network had no plans to feature same-sex couples.

"She tried to give me reassurance that she supports the LGBTQ community," she recalled. "It's totally fine to make a movie about straight marriage. That is a very normal thing. Where it wasn't very okay was basically calling gay marriage not traditional."

"She was specifically avoiding that," JoJo continued. "Whether she meant to do that or not, she still did it, and it's still stung the community."

After the interview, Candace responded to the backlash and clarified her comments.

"I have great love and affection for all people," she said in a statement at the time. "It absolutely breaks my heart that anyone would ever think I intentionally would want to offend and hurt anyone."

"I have long wanted to find a home for more faith-based programming," she wrote. "I am grateful to be an integral part of a young and growing network. I had also expressed in my interview, which was not included, that people of all ethnicities and identities have and will continue to contribute to the network in great ways both in front of and behind the camera, which I encourage and fully support."

"I don't know her."

It's been over 15 years since Mariah and J.Lo's "feud" has been going on. It all started when the Queen of Christmas was asked to give her opinion on several singers during an interview. When asked her opinion on Jennifer, she replied, "I don't know her."
