Who's performing at the 2024 Newport Folk Festival? Keep tabs as they're announced
The dates have been set and the tickets have been sold, now we wait on the announcements of who will be performing at the Newport Folk Festival.
With festival organizers changing to a rolling announcement of acts a couple of years ago, you may have to wait a while to learn if your favorite performer will be making an appearance at Fort Adams. Or you may start jamming sooner or later.
With each act announced on social media, you can check back often to find out who is playing as they're announced and start making your plans to head to the Fort in July.
When is the 2024 Newport Folk Festival
The Newport Folk Festival will return to Fort Adams State Park in Rhode Island to celebrate its 65th anniversary. One of the longest-running and most storied festivals in America will return July 26-28 where it will continue to host once-in-a-lifetime performances on Newport's waterfront.

As of Feb. 20 acts announced include Killer Mike, who will be performing on Saturday; Sierra Ferrell, who will be performing on Sunday; and Guster and Adrianne Lenker, who will each be performing on Friday.

Who is Killer Mike
Killer Mike is a rapper whose real name is Michael Render. He won three Grammys at the 2024 awards ceremony, but was led out of the Crypto.com arena in Los Angeles in handcuffs while the event was still going.
A Los Angeles spokesperson told USA TODAY following the arrest that Killer Mike's detainment stemmed from an altercation inside the arena around 4 p.m. and he was charged with misdemeanor battery.
He won Grammys for best rap song and best rap performance for his song "Scientists and Engineers" and best rap album for "Michael."
He previously won a Grammy in 2003 for best rap performance by a duo or group for his feature on OutKast's "The Whole World."
