Why Is Al Roker Missing From 'Today'? Here's What We Know
Dylan Dreyer stepped in to fill Al Roker's shoes during the broadcast of Today on Tuesday, Sept. 24, and, naturally, fans are likely feeling some concern for the NBC personality after a series of health-related absences over the last couple of years, including blood clots in his lungs and bleeding ulcers that required resection of his colon and the removal of his gal bladder.
But, fans can rest assured that Roker's day off does not appear to be cause for concern, with Dreyer herself confirming on X that he would be back in the studio on Wednesday, Sept. 25.
The senior meteorologist was presumably off-site preparing to moderate a panel as part of Climate Week NYC, sponsored by BMW, taking place across Manhattan at Moonlight Studios, NYC.
Roker boasted his excitement for the event, scheduled to take place at 3 p.m. on the Tuesday, on his Instagram Story on Monday, Sept. 23.

"I'm thrilled to share that I'll be moderating a dynamic panel discussion on the importance of cross-industries collaboration," he wrote of the event.
The panel is set to feature Dr. Juergen Guldner, BMW's General Program Manager, Hydrogen Technology, according to his LinkedIn; Chef Daniel Humm, owner of the plant-based, fine dining restaurant Eleven Madison Park; Levis' Senior Director of Sustainability Jennifer DuBuisson' and climate activist Sophia Kianni—all of whom will discuss how "essential" the "collaboration across and within sectors" is as relating to taking action on climate change, according to the Climate Week website.
