After the gigantic success of the Tiger film franchise, Pathaan, and War, YRF Spy Universe is all set to bring a female-led mission in a new movie. Alia Bhatt and Sharvari Wagh recently surprised fans with the announcement of their spy universe debut with Alpha. The announcement teaser revealed how the movie will see females leading a mission against evil and gave a sneak peek into its theme. Moreover, Bhatt also revealed why the movie is titled Alpha.
Why is Alia Bhatt’s YRF Spy Universe movie titled Alpha?
The announcement teaser featured a voiceover by Alia Bhatt in which she revealed why the upcoming movie is titled Alpha. She said, “Greek alphabet ka sabse pehla akshar, aur hamari program ka motto. Sabse pehle, sabse tez. Sabse veer. Dhyan se dekho toh har sahar mein ek jungle hein. Aur jungle mein humesha raaj karega… Alpha (The first letter in the Greek alphabet, and the motto of our program. The first, and the fastest. The bravest. Every city is like a jungle. The one who will rule that jungle is… Alpha).” Along with the title teaser, she wrote, “It’s the time of the #ALPHA.. Girls!”
Shiv Rawail directed the movie, which has begun filming. Fans are utterly excited about it, especially because Alia Bhatt stars in it. An Instagram user wrote, “Boys and girls, we got another Alia Bhatt female-led film coming,” while another penned, “SHARVARI AND ALIA BHATT Y’LL!! The best duo in action.”
For the unversed, YRF Spy Universe began with Salman Khan and Katrina Kaif’s Ek Tha Tiger. The movie’s massive popularity led to two more installments in the film franchise in the past decade.
Meanwhile, the spy universe also introduced a few more agents, including Hrithik Roshan’s Kabir in War and Shah Rukh Khan’s titular character in Pathaan. Now, all eyes are on Alia Bhatt’s YRF Spy Universe movie Alpha, as fans are excited to know how it will unfold on the silver screens.
