Why Kane Brown took down gruesome hand burn Instagram post

Early Thursday morning, Academy of Country Music, American Music Award and CMT Music Award-winner Kane Brown posted what appeared to be a multiple-degree burn to his left hand on social media. The country music superstar is currently in the midst of six weeks off from the foreign and domestic legs of his Drunk and Dreaming tour -- which reaches Nashville's Bridgestone Arena on Mar. 31, 2023.

However, the post was removed by 9 a.m. CT with an Instagram stories post noting "GUYS WORKING ON A PROJECT." The Tennessean reached out to Brown's team for confirmation that he's not actually injured but is indeed working on forthcoming projects for 2023.

Projects that have been announced for Brown include his involvement in the 2023 Ruffles NBA All-Star Celebrity Game, taking place at Jon M. Huntsman Center in Salt Lake City, Utah, on Feb. 17, at 7 p.m. ET, airing via ESPN. It will be Brown's third appearance at the event.

Along with Luke Bryan and Chris Stapleton, Brown will also be one of three headliners for 2023's Stagecoach Festival, occurring from April 28-30, 2023. He is the first African-American headliner in the festival's 15-year history. As well, Stapleton's headlining gig is his first at the event. For Bryan, it is his fourth.

To the Tennessean, Brown exclusively noted the following:

"Where I am in my life and getting to where I am now [is related to] a question of 'what if I hadn't taken a chance on what I feel like I was meant to do and this dream?'" He adds, "I feel like a lot of people [know] the feeling of not knowing how…but feeling like they have something they dream about accomplishing in their life, that feeling that you know 'what if I was made to do something different?'"

"I tried to fight to get into Nashville for the longest," Brown recently said to the Associated Press. "People were just like, 'Nah nah.' And then when it started selling, that's when people started coming to the door."
