Why Robin Roberts Is Missing From 'GMA' This Morning
Robin Roberts was missing from Good Morning America on Tuesday, June 18, and from the looks of it, she's enjoying some sunny time away.
While out, Rebecca Jarvis joined Michael Strahan for the broadcast, though unsuspecting fans likely wondered where the beloved show host may have been.
The media personality was out of her normal seat due to a special segment she's working on from Portugal, alongside her cohost George Stephanopoulos, but some loyal viewers of the program may have already been clued in about Roberts' whereabouts, as Strahan teased her upcoming segment on Friday's show. "I'm jealous," he joked at the time.
The morning show host jetted off to the southern European destination, uploading some footage from abroad. In a new Instagram video, Roberts shared that she's currently on a beach in the destination—though not without her "glam fam."
But while away, she kept her tradition of sharing an encouraging word with fans going. "Good morning from gorgeous Portugal! Perfect setting for Glam Fam & I to share with you our #tuesdaythoughts#cmon ??," the caption of her Tuesday morning social media upload read.
In the comment section, supporters piled in with gratitude for the message shared.
"AMEN???????? God’s promises are true so do not give up, indeed????????. Have a wonderful time. You ladies look beautiful. Happy Tuesday??," one wrote, as another agreed, "I open this app and this is always right on time !! And I’m loving the print you’re wearing!!! ??."
Roberts also gave a glimpse at some of the expats they've met along the way. "We are meeting so many Americans all across Portugal…and we can’t wait to introduce you to some of them who now call this beautiful country home. Much more coming up on @goodmorningamerica!" she captioned another insightful video during her travels.
