Why Sharon, Lucy And Daniel Are Headed For Disaster On Young and the Restless July 29

Sharon, Daniel, and Lucy are about to collide.

The Monday, July 29 episode of The Young and the Restless featured some contentious scenes between Daniel and Sharon and Daniel and Lucy. We suspect that these three are headed straight for disaster.

Collision Course

Sharon (Sharon Case) was agitated when she saw Daniel (Michael Graziadei), and she wasn’t shy about saying exactly what she saw. For his part, Daniel apologized again for what happened all those years ago with Cassie (Camryn Grimes — who recalled Cassie’s death). Sharon expressed how much she missed her late daughter, and Daniel suggested she go to a therapist, but Sharon insisted she was fine.

Later, Lucy (Lily Brooks O’Briant) lied to her dad about going to the pool party. When he talked to her about being careful getting rides from people, Lucy told him she knew about Cassie. The father-daughter duo talked about how Lucy knew the truth about what happened with Cassie. She wished her dad had told her instead of her having to read it on the internet.

Meanwhile, Faith (Reylynn Caster) let Nick (Joshua Morrow) know that she suspected her mom wasn’t even taking her medication. Sharon’s increasingly odd behavior seems to fit that theory, too. It’s incredibly unusual that Sharon, who is a therapist and has helped so many people, denied her need to go to therapy. It’s very unlike the relatively stable and sane Sharon we’ve seen over the past few years.

It’s obvious that something is about to erupt for these characters. Will it be something Lucy does to Faith? Or, will Sharon end up losing it and going after Lucy herself somehow? One thing we know is that the past doesn’t get mentioned this much in daytime unless it’s setting up something huge for the future. What do you think is brewing? Let us know in the comments below.
