If there's one thing that Kanye West loves more than Kanye West, it's the myth of celebrity. Perhaps that explains his obsession with Taylor Swift, his love for Kim Kardashian, his attraction to all things Pablo-related. But, then again, Kanye West is a famously complicated man, one who strives to be misunderstood by oversharing his every thought and feeling. There might just be too much there for any of us to ever unpack.

So, he charges us: $25 was the price of admission for one of the two screenings of his first video from The Life of Pablo. It's a ticket for access inside the brain of Mr. West. It's the price to be one of the first people to see what our most unpredictable celebrity will do next.

Here's what he did: West put naked effigies of Taylor Swift, Rihanna, Chris Brown, Caitlyn Jenner, Amber Rose, Anna Wintour, Ray J, Bill Cosby, Donald Trump, George Bush, himself, and his wife in a giant bed.

An homage to the "Sleep" painting by Vincent Desiderio, the bodies—tangled in sheets, their bodies peacefully at rest—are being filmed by an intrusive, voyeuristic third party. It's uncomfortable, shot with a scratchy, dated, night vision camera. It's fascinating: Are any of them playing themselves? Who in this bed is real? It's aggravating. (Bill Cosby? WTF?) But more importantly, it shows our—and West's—obsession with celebrity culture. Even at their most vulnerable, even when we hate them or love them, we can't bring ourselves to look away.
