The Wiggles are soundtracking this year’s silly season with a brand new Christmas album, and it comes packing a cover of Wham!’s iconic Yuletide hit, ‘Last Christmas’ (watch the video below).

The classy cover features dual male and female vocals as well as a Wiggly horn section, with OG member Anthony stumming some smooth guitar chords to boot.

The fresh festive album it features on, The Sound of Christmas, is also out now, festooned with a merry mix of kids’ Chrissy tunes and traditional carols, as well as covers of holiday faves including ‘Winter Wonderland’, ‘Feliz Navidad’ and ‘Run Rudolph Run’.

“Can you hear the sleigh bells jingling? It’s The Sound of Christmas!” The Wiggles said in a press statement. “Join us for the most joyous time of the year as we sing and dance along to 27 seasonal songs! Featuring a mix of Wiggly holiday classics and traditional carols. It’s the perfect soundtrack for the festive season!”

The seasonal LP comes hot on the heels of a monster year for the rainbow sweater-wearing kids’ music icons, which saw them become Australia’s #1 artist on Spotify in 2023 across all genres, screen their new documentary Hot Potato: The Story of The Wiggles; release two new ‘Best Of’ albums, launch their new Ready, Steady, Wiggle!  TV series and bring their Wiggly Big Day Out Tour around Australia.
