Will Smith and Jimmy Fallon hark back to the golden age of TV theme songs
On The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, Will Smith and Fallon teamed up to reminisce about the golden days of TV theme songs with a musical mashup. They started with Golden Girls, then moved on up with The Jeffersons. From there they hit most of the classics, including The Andy Griffith Show, I Dream of Jeannie, and The Love Boat.
The highlights included a spirited performance in which Smith and Fallon had a good time with the theme to Good Times. The pair proved that they’re more than enough when singing the theme to Three’s Company. And of course, they couldn’t forget the greatest American theme song for The Greatest American Hero.
Some notable omissions were Perfect Strangers, Who’s The Boss, and Growing Pains, but the show has only so much time.
One sitcom theme that has stood the test of time and that you can be sure they got to was Smith’s own The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air.
The Tonight Show starring Jimmy Fallon airs weeknights at 11:35 on NBC. Watch clips and full episodes of The Tonight Show for free on Yahoo View.
