William H. Macy's magical father-daughter moment before her prom will give you all the feels

The Shameless star, 68, showed us just how unlike his TV character he is when his wife, Felicity Huffman, shared this truly magical moment with their 17-year-old daughter, Sofia Grace, ahead of her prom. They’re dancing around the living room — the teen in her strapless, light blue lace dress, which she tried on for her parents — as if no one is watching. Yes, we have full-on chills.

The pic also delivered the feels to some of Huffman’s famous pals. It took Marcia Cross, whom Huffman saw recently at Eva Longoria’s Hollywood Walk of Fame ceremony, right back to their Desperate Housewives days. Marcia couldn’t believe the little girl Felicity would bring to set was so grown up.

Huffman’s Path to War co-star Sarah Paulson‘s ticker was also touched.

Huffman shared the photo across her social media platforms, and it has all kinds of retweets, hearts, and comments. On Instagram alone, it has 32,600 likes. Penelope Ann Miller, who appeared with Huffman on American Crime Story, was another commenter. She called the dress “beyond beautiful,” adding, “so is this photo.”

This is certainly a different vibe from another prom photo that made headlines over the weekend. Ex-NFL player Jay Feely posed with his daughter and her boyfriend before they celebrated the rite of passage — only he held a gun as a warning to the date. He later said he was joking, but he was criticized for his tone-deaf sense of humor.

Huffman and Macy have been married for 20 years, and they have two children, Sofia Grace and her younger sister, Georgia Grace, 16. In November, Macy, who became a dad at 50, talked parenting with Closer magazine, saying: “I’m glad I did it late in life. I had more patience, and I had money. I didn’t think I’d ever be a father, and boy, do I really like it!” It shows.
