The actor is currently starring as Nick Torres on the hit CBS drama, but he took a different approach with his acting career when he revealed his latest project. Posting a clip to the movie trailer on Instagram, Wilmer revealed he's starring in an upcoming holiday movie called A Sudden Case of Christmas alongside Danny DeVito, Lucy DeVito, Andie MacDowell and Antonella Rose. And if that wasn't enough to get you into the holiday spirit, Wilmer shared the film will be available to watch in theaters and on digital starting November 8, 2024.

So, what is A Sudden Case of Christmas about? Well, according to Deadline, the movie centers around Lawrence (Danny DeVito) who hosts his extended family for Christmas in the grand hotel he runs in the mountains of Italy. When his daughter (Lucy DeVito) and her husband (played by Wilmer) bring their daughter Claire (Antonella Rose) to visit in the summer instead, everyone learns the couple has decided to divorce. When Claire realizes the holidays won't look the same anymore, she decides to throw one last Christmas with everyone (even though it's summer) as a way to help her parents reunite.
