SNL guest star Jim Gaffigan played the Governor of Minnesota in a sketch, and declared that he has “BDE” — or “Big Dad Energy.”
Savvy retailers and sellers quickly hopped on the quote, with Walz-inspired “BDE” designs popping up almost overnight. Fresh off a crop of Kamala Harris merch, Walz supporters are also creating merch for the VP candidate, ranging from campaign signs to buttons. And if you think the governor will need a hope and a prayer to make it to the White House, well, there’s a prayer candle for that as well.
