Winning pose: Artist on Worcester Common creates portrait of Worcester Olympian Stephen Nedoroscik
WORCESTER — Artist Dave “Croc” O’Connor painted a portrait of Worcester’s favorite pommel horse Olympian, two-bronze medalist Stephen Nedoroscik, on Worcester Common during the Out To Lunch festival and farmers market on Thursday. While music played and children danced, O’Connor attracted a steady crowd that watched him use spray cans to create the likeness of Nedoroscik. The painting is based on a photograph of a celebrating Nedoroscik in Paris, where he earned the nickname Pommel Horse Guy.
