Who Wins ‘The Bachelor’ 2024? Joey Graziadei’s Final Choice Revealed During Season 28 Finale
Season 28 of The Bachelor with Joey Graziadei came to an emotional conclusion on March 25, 2024. After theories about who wins the season spread like wildfire for months leading up to the finale, viewers finally got to see who Joey picked.
Who Wins ‘The Bachelor’ 2024?
Joey chose Kelsey Anderson during The Bachelor finale. The tennis instructor popped the question and Kelsey accepted. This spoiler had been reported by Reality Steve in February 2024.
Weeks before the finale, Kelsey and Joey's engagement was seemingly confirmed by The Bachelorette alum Jason Tartick at the beginning of March 2024. A few weeks ahead of the finale, Jason teased some of the guests he had coming up on his “Trading Secrets” podcast. He said that Joey and Kelsey would be joining him for an interview together later in the month. Jason quickly deleted the recording with the spoiler, but many fans had already caught on.
The Kelsey spoiler was different from what Steve first shared in November 2023, when he claimed that Daisy Kent was the woman whom Joey proposed to. The blogger admitted he was wrong at first, adding, “It sucks but it happens.”
Steve’s original November 29, 2023 report said, “Joey and Daisy got engaged in Tulum, Mexico, at the end of the season. Obviously, the finale won’t air until mid-March so who knows what can happen in the next four months. But this is how the season ended. Have no proof that I can share, which I usually never do without outing any sources, so here it is.”
However, three months later, he clarified, “No beating around the bush here. The spoiler is wrong. Joey is engaged to Kelsey A. and has been since filming ended.”
Who Does Joey Graziadei Pick on 'The Bachelor' 2024?
Midway through Joey’s season, reports began to surface online that hinted that Steve’s original report was incorrect and Joey actually chose Kelsey. Steve initially reported that Kelsey was Joey’s runner-up this season, but Bachelor sleuths spotted some interesting details about Joey and Kelsey’s social media activity. Fans noticed the backgrounds in some of Kelsey and Joey’s TikTok videos appeared to be the same. On February 21, 2024, BachelorNation.Scoop compiled all the evidence which showed what seemed like the same backyard in Joey and Kelsey’s videos, along with the same wine fridge and rug.
Steve confirmed that Joey and Kelsey were both posting from the same secret “happy couple” home in these videos. He credited the online user “sandbetweenhertoes” with noticing the social media posts and putting Kelsey and Joey’s relationship together.
Joey was asked about the rumors in a February 23, 2024, interview. “Obviously anything that comes out like that, I can’t really speak on it,” he told US Weekly. “I know people are really trying to figure out what’s going on. Yeah, I can’ speak to anything that’s sent because it’s not really something that I’m paying attention to.”
Although the lead played coy, Jason gave away the ending a few days later when he accidentally teased Joey and Kelsey’s joint appearance on his podcast.
How Does Joey Graziadei's Season Of 'The Bachelor' End?
Before Joey and Kelsey got engaged, he had an emotional breakup with Daisy. Daisy realized on her final date that things were "off" in her relationship with Joey and she eventually came to the conclusion that she wasn't going to get picked. She wound up paying Kelsey a visit to discuss how things went and the ladies traveled to the final rose ceremony together.
This unprecdented ending was teased for months leading up to the episode airing. The first full-length trailer for The Bachelor showed Joey in tears on the day of his proposal. Fans hear him tell the cameras that “it feels wrong” and “he doesn’t know what to do,” but it cuts to another shot of what looks like Joey walking away with production staff. It turned out that he was simply using this moment to take a breather after Daisy told him that she knew she wasn't his choice.
The tennis instructor had previously teased that what happens in the finale is something that’s never occurred in the show’s history. “From what I’m told, it’s something that hasn’t happened before, and I think once you get to that point and you follow the actual story line, people will understand what those tears [in the preview] mean and that’s the best I can say," he said.
Some information about this was also shared by Steve in his February 2024 blog post. He confirmed that Daisy realized that Joey wasn’t going to pick her after her final one-on-one date, so she went to Kelsey’s room and essentially conceded, according to Steve. “I was told that conversation was pretty straight forward, it was supportive, and Daisy just knew she wasn’t getting picked the next day,” he wrote.
“Now I think it’s clear the opening 2 minutes of the season showing Joey on the altar with one rose, then walking away and taking off his jacket and talking to producers, is right after Daisy leaves but before Kelsey arrives,” Steve explained. “Basically he just needs to take a breather because he didn’t know Daisy was going to tell him what she did.” All correct!
