The “Wizards of Waverly Place” spinoff follows an adult Justin Russo (Henrie) who chooses to lead a normal, mortal life with his family Giada (Mimi Gianopulos), Roman (Alkaio Thiele) and Milo (Max Matenko). When Alex Russo (Gomez) brings Billie (Brown) to his home seeking help, Justin has to brush up on his magical skills to mentor the young wizard-in-training and juggle his everyday responsibilities.
The first look features clips from the upcoming sitcom series, and sees Alex and Billie step through a magical portal to get into Justin’s house. Billie uses her powers to make eggs scramble themselves on the stove, make a burrito appear and more.
Additionally, David DeLuise, who starred in the original series as the Russo’s father Jerry, makes an appearance in the first look video. He will return to the franchise as a guest star. Taylor Cora also rounds out the cast as series regular Winter, who is Billie’s best friend.
Jed Elinoff and Scott Thomas serve as writers and executive producers, along with executive producers Gary Marsh, Jonas Agin, Gomez and Henrie. Andy Fickman directed and executive-produced the pilot and will direct multiple episodes.
The series is slated to premiere on Disney Channel and Disney+ later in 2024. Watch the first look at the below.
