Blumhouse has unset the release date for one of its upcoming films, The Woman in the Yard, which is set to star Danielle Deadwyler.

The movie was originally set to release on January 10, 2025, but will instead now land elsewhere. According to a report from Deadline, there is no new release date in the cards for the mysterious film just yet, and Blumhouse is keeping the details of the film relatively secret for now.

Alongside the news, Blumhouse also announced it had shifted the release date for its upcoming Wolf Man remake. Initially scheduled for an October 2024 release, the supernatural horror movie has been pushed back to next year, and will now arrive in theaters on January 17, 2025. Its newest release date will see the remake directly go up against Sony Pictures’ Paddington in Peru.

Not too much is known about the upcoming movie

Aside from Deadwyler, the film will be directed by Jaume Collet-Serra. Both Collet-Serra and Deadwyler worked together on the recently release action thriller Carry On as well, making it a reunion for the pair.

Deadwyler is best known for her starring role in 2022’s Till, where she played the role of Emmett Till’s mother, Mamie Till. The actress has also starred in a handful of other projects, including work on the Starz series P-Valley, and the miniseries Station Eleven.
