Woody Allen Refuses To Turn Over Dylan Farrow Documents in $68 Million Battle with Amazon
Woody Allen is refusing to turn over documents relating to his daughter, who accuses him of sexual abuse, as part of his $68 million battle with Amazon.
According to court documents obtained by The Blast, Allen reveals Amazon has demanded he hand over certain documents and communications in the case. They want any messages he wrote about his daughter Dylan Farrow's sit-down with Gayle King.
He says Amazon has requested he produce any texts, emails or messages relating to “(1)“Gayle King’s interview of Dylan Farrow on CBS This Morning in or around January 2018” and “Allen’s participation in the September 16, 2018 New York Magazine profile of Soon-Yi Previn.”
Further, Amazon wants Allen to hand over his “communications with any person concerning the #MeToo movement”.
They are also seeking any communications in his possession that relate to, “actual or alleged sexual harassment, sexual abuse, or other sexual misconduct by Allen” from in or after October 2017.” Allen is objecting to the turning over the documents.
The interview with Gayle King is the first time Dylan Farrow detailed the alleged abuse by Allen.

Earlier this year, Allen and his production company sued Amazon for $68 million dollars. The two entered into a multi-picture deal in 2014. Amazon then attempted to terminate the deal following the #MeToo movement and his daughter Dylan Farrow’s allegations that Allen molested her had resurfaced.
In his lawsuit, Allen said, “Amazon has tried to excuse its action by referencing a 25-year old, baseless allegation against Mr. Allen, but that allegation was already well known to Amazon (and the public) before Amazon entered into four separate deals with Mr. Allen—and, in any event it does not provide a basis for Amazon to terminate the contract. There simply was no legitimate ground for Amazon to renege on its promises.”
Amazon fired back saying they terminated the deal for Allen’s public statements on #MeToo.
Amazon wrote, "Despite immediate consensus on the importance of acknowledging and addressing this issue, Allen made a series of public comments suggesting that he failed to grasp the gravity of the issues or the implications for his own career.”
They also took issue with Allen’s response to his daughter’s 2018 interview recalling the alleged abuse. He released a statement saying, “Even though the Farrow family is cynically using the opportunity afforded by the Time’s Up movement to repeat this discredited allegation, that doesn’t make it any more true today than it was in the past … I never molested my daughter … as all investigations concluded a quarter of a century ago.”
The case is ongoing.
Woody Allen has been back in the news after Scarlett Johansson’s recent comments about the director.
Earlier today, Dylan Farrow, who has accused Woody of molesting her as a child, took to Twitter to trash to Johansson’s recent interview, where she says she believes Allen’s denials.
Farrow wrote “Because if we’ve learned anything from the past two years it’s that you definitely should believe male predators who “maintain their innocence” without question. Scarlett has a long way to go in understanding the issue she claims to champion.”
Farrow was responding to Johansson’s sit down with The Hollywood Reporter to talk about a variety of topics including Allen.
She was then asked about her thoughts on Allen, following the #MeToo movement and his daughter Dylan Farrow accusing him of abuse.
Johansson has starred in three of Allen’s films; Match Point (2005), Scoop (2006) and Vicky Cristina Barcelona (2008). She has received critical acclaim for the roles and has shared a close relationship with the director.
She said, "I love Woody. I believe him, and I would work with him anytime."
She continued, “I see Woody whenever I can, and I have had a lot of conversations with him about it. I have been very direct with him, and he's very direct with me. He maintains his innocence, and I believe him."
Allen has been accused by his daughter Dylan of sexual abuse. Allen and his ex Mia Farrow adopted Dylan. She gave her first interview about the alleged abuse last year.
In the interview, she said Allen lied for years about the alleged abuse. Farrow claimed Allen sexually assaulted her when she was 7.
